Newton Community Service Center (NCSC), now celebrating its 100th year of service to the community, is a leading nonprofit provider of children, teen and family services that strengthen and promote social-emotional and physical wellness and continuity of care, for people of all backgrounds, regardless of ability to pay.  We currently have several open staff positions in: our nationally accredited Early Childhood Education program, our After School and Teen REACH programs, our Parents program and our Development office.

NCSC also has exciting opportunities for volunteers to become a part of our team. Current positions span a range of time commitments and skills, and include teaching, home visiting, mentoring, and administrative or clerical support.  As a volunteer you can be a:

·         Prevention Specialist, Child Assault Prevention Program.  Training begins in the fall for the 2008-2009 academic year.

·         After School Homework Mentor,  The After School Program.  This coincides with the 2008-2009 academic year.

·         Home Visitor, Parent Child Home Program. This coincides with the 2008-2009 academic year.

·         Client Records Project,  The Parents Program

·         General Childcare, Early Education and Childcare Program

·         Volunteer Teacher Assistant, Early Education and Childcare Program

·         Planning Assistant, Summer Camp & School Vacation Week Recreation Program

·         Camp Assistant, Summer Camp & School Vacation Week Recreation Program

·    Mentor to Teens, Teen REACH. This program coincides with the academic year.
