Providing the highest level of early
care and education requires skill, resources, and
years of experience. Newton Community Service Center
began as the West Newton Day Nursery in 1907, and
while the program has evolved substantially to meet modern day
family needs, our tradition of individual attention
has never wavered.
The center-based Child Care Program works
closely with parents to understand each child's needs
and abilities. Our teachers and staff are caring
and dedicated. We provide early care and education
for all children - with learning opportunities geared
to the ages and abilities of those in the
group. We also have the unique advantage of a gymnasium,
as well as a beautiful, newly renovated playground
on site.
Infant/Toddler Center
Our caring, experienced staff promotes an atmosphere
in which each child's individuality is recognized
and encouraged, offering full-time care for children
between 3 months and 2 years/ 9 months, in a cheerful,
sunny environment.
Preschool
Learning and creative activities are incorporated into
free as well as structured periods during the day.
Children learn to become participating members of a
group as they develop a strong sense of their preschool
community. Special projects and presentations help
children move toward self-initiated discoveries.
Our programs are licensed by the Massachusetts
Department of Early Education and Care, and our
pre-school is accredited by the National Association
for Education of Young Children. For more information about child care, call Judy Epi at (617) 969-5906 ext.121 or email at
