"Our Place" Afterschool (K-5)

At Our Place children play outside, eat a healthy snack, do homework or read independently or with a volunteer, play gym games, make art projects, design science experiments, build creations, dance, sing, cook, hang out with friends, or just rest and relax after a long day at school.

With a focus on social and emotional wellness, our experienced staff members provide a warm, caring environment, encourage collaborative problem solving, and provide lots of positive opportunities for creativity and learning through play. We emphasize building relationships with families and schools to ensure that each child is supported and thriving.

Grades:

• K – 5

Hours & Dates:

• Daily until 6:00pm

• Accommodates Newton and Waltham school early release schedules

• Summer Option: NCSC Summer Day Camp at Hale Reservation

• Open December, February, April Vacation Weeks

Transportation:

• Bus service from Burr, Horace Mann, Lincoln-Eliot, Peirce, Williams, Franklin, Whittemore, and Plympton schools

Facilities:

• Two classrooms: K – 1 and 2 – 5

• Full-sized gymnasium and auditorium

• Playground with spray pool, basketball court, baseball field

Our program is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
